it's shutting me down ... closing me in
blowing my mind ... its making me cringe

signs were all there ... still you did not see
past the calm that i showed ... to the truth within me

while mind unraveled ... my chest raged in war
never showing the truth ... to the one it was for

the heart way past full ... no way of release
never winning the battle ... nor finding its peace

love screaming and pleading ... begging unseen
reality its goal ... yet only to dream

to achieve my desire ... to touch and to hold
the source becomes shadowed ... to hide what has grown

the conflict i feel ... this turmoil and pain
the light of this love ... in the dark shall remain
